This seminar is part of the EU’s efforts to develop its election observation methodology to address emerging challenges.

The event included participants from previous EODS trainings for Media and Social Media Analysts, as well as experienced Media Analysts (MAs), Social Media Analysts (SMAs), and Press Officers (POs), deployed in EU Election Missions since 2023. A total of 21 participants from over 12 different EU Member-States attended the seminar.

The training aimed to strengthen the capacity of the experts to identify, categorise, analyse and report on hateful content in the electoral context. Participants were provided with practical knowledge and case studies and methodological guidance on setting up and managing social media monitoring activities using the EODS Digital Toolkit and relevant frameworks.
